On Friday 12 May 2023, Palestinian Christians in Australia will be hosting one-year memorial for the late Palestinian journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh. Shireen was an Al-Jazeera journalist who was killed and martyred in Jenin while on a reporting mission.
We invite our community leaders and members, politicians, journalists and human rights activists to join us in solidarity to her one-year memorial to keep Shireen’s cause alive and to petition the Australian government to seek justice for Shireen and the many journalists who have been killed while on duty.
