The story of Gaza’ s Photographer

In this short video interview with Kegham Dgaghlian the grandson of Kegham Dgahglian the photographer of Gaza who documented Gaza during the years of 1940s-1970s.

Kegham talks about the journey of going through his grandfather’s photo negatives to find a non-serial history of Gaza, documenting Gaza in a way that we don’t know about, challenging the typical image of Gaza, the image of War and Genocide.

This memory that Kegham talks about and underlines its importance of going back to this memory hold on to it, and talk about it, to shed a light on the real history of Gaza before Israeli Occupation.
