What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2:14-26
Supporting our community in the
Holy Land
Solidarity and Empowerment
We are now a Registered Charity with ACNC. One of our objectives is to link our Community in Australia with our family and friends, the living stones in the Holy Land.
Our focus is to support families living in Palestine with paying for their children’s tertiary education. Find out how you can support them HERE
Advocacy and Truth Telling
Our second objective is to advocate for a JUST PEACE in our Holy Land. As Palestinian Christians, we have a responsibility to speak truth, advocate for the voiceless and oppressed in our Holy Land. Since we founded this organisation, we have been endorsed by the various church denominations and Christian NGO’s in Palestine. This allowed us to advocate for a just solution by reaching out to Australian churches and Christian leaders in Australia. Australian Church leaders are now asking us to provide our unique perspective on Palestine and how we can achieve a just peace.
WE HAVE A UNIQUE VOICE. LET’S MAKE IT HEARD
Youth of Jesus Homeland Scholarships Fund
One of the projects we are currently involved in is fundraising for a scholarship program initiated and led by Father Bashar Fawadleh, Chaplain of Youth of Jesus Homeland, with the intent on helping youth (from all the Christian denominations) who are struggling to pay or continue to pay for their education in colleges and universities.
Since the beginning of Covid lockdowns early 2020, our community in Palestine has been struggling to make ends meet. This is especially hard on families who need to pay for their children’s tuition fees at universities. Supporting these young students with their tuition fees will help them focus on their studies and help their parents to make ends meet. PCiA is proud to be involved in this initiative. This is one of the practical ways that Palestinian Christians in Australia can do to make a difference to our relatives and friends in Palestine. This is one way for us to show that we love them and that they are in our hearts.
