Join Australian Palestinian writer and educator Micaela Sahhar for a powerful live conversation about her award-winning debut, Find Me at the Jaffa Gate: an encyclopaedia of a Palestinian family. Blending memoir, history and reflection, Micaela’s work offers a deeply moving exploration of family, identity and diaspora.

In Conversation With:
Sary Zananiri, an Australian Palestinian Artist and Cultural Historian. His recent book Photographing Biblical Modernity: Frank Scholten in British Mandate Palestine was just released. Sary will lead the discussion.

About the Author:
Micaela Sahhar is an Australian Palestinian writer and educator living on unceded Wurundjeri Country. Her essays, poetry and commentary have appeared in Cordite, Meanjin, Overland, Southerly and Sydney Review of Books. Her debut book was long listed for the Stella Prize and won the 2026 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Non-Fiction.
