DESCRIPTION:About\nAs Palestinian Christians in Australia (PCiA)\, we are deeply committed to amplifying the voices of our community\, sharing our enduring faith\, and building bridges of solidarity across the region. It is in this spirit of shared purpose that we are proud to support our friends across the Tasman for a profoundly important upcoming event. \nThis national tour is proudly sponsored and funded by the National Council of Churches Australia (NCCA). The Melbourne event is hosted by Ashburton Baptist Church (Melbourne). In organising this tour\, PCiA is also joined by the Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network (PIEN). \nHow can Christians Support a Just Peace in the Holy Land? \nThis July & August\, Palestinian Christians in Australia invites you to a profound and deeply necessary conversation. We are privileged to host Dr. Yousef Khoury for a national speaking tour titled “Bearing Witness: Palestinian Christian Voices. How can Christians Support a Just Peace in the Holy Land?” \nMeet Dr. Yousef Khoury\nDr. Khoury is a Christian Palestinian theologian who was raised in Gaza\, where his family still remains. He brings a vital\, lived perspective to the intersection of faith\, justice\, and peacebuilding. \nHe currently serves as: \nAcademic Dean & Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Bethlehem Bible College.\nSteering Committee Member for Christ at the Checkpoint.\nBoard Member of Kairos Palestine. \nThrough his unique lens as both a leading scholar and a son of Gaza\, Dr. Khoury will guide us through the complex realities on the ground\, offering a powerful perspective on what true solidarity\, justice\, and peace look like today. \nEvent Details:\n📅 Sunday 2 August 2026\n⏰ 5:00PM – 6:30PM AEST\n💻 Address: Ashburton Baptist Church\, 8 Y St\, Ashburton (Melbourne).
