SUMMARY:Remembering the Children of Gaza: Join Us for the Sydney Launch of Wall of Tears Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Dear friends and supporters\, \nYou are invited to a moment that demands to be witnessed. \nOn 9 October\, Phil Buehler’s Wall of Tears – a public artwork memorialising the 18\,457+ children killed in Gaza between October 7\, 2023 and July 19\, 2025 – will launch in Sydney\, before remaining on public exhibition through 28 October. \nThis is not an easy artwork. It is not meant to be. It exists so that the sheer scale of loss is not reduced to a statistic\, and so that each of those children is remembered as a life\, not a number. \nLaunch Event\n📅 Friday 9 October 2026\, 7:00PM\n📍 Pitt Street Uniting Church\, 264 Pitt Street\, Sydney \nThe launch will feature reflections from: \n\nChris Sidoti — International human rights lawyer\nDr Saiba Hussain — Volunteer medical worker in Gaza\nSuzan Wahhab — President\, Palestinian Christians in Australia\n\nExhibition Dates\nThe Wall of Tears will remain open to the public from 10–28 October: \nMon–Wed: 10am–2pm\nThu: 10am–7pm\nFri: 10am–2pm\nSat: 12pm–6pm\nSun: 12pm–4pm \nWe know many of you have stood with us through vigils\, letters\, advocacy and prayer. We ask you now to stand – and to bring others – before this wall. Bring your children\, your congregations\, your colleagues. Let this be seen. \nThis event is presented in partnership with Amnesty International\, Uniting Church Australia and Palestinian Christians in Australia. \nPlease share this invitation widely  with your church\, your networks\, and anyone who believes that bearing witness still matters. \nWe hope to see you there. \nGrace & Peace\, \nPalestinian Christians in Australia (PCiA)
