Raising funds to house displaced Gazans arriving in Australia

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me” Matthew 25:35-40

Palestinian Christians in Australia (PCIA) is providing financial support to pay for accommodation for families arriving from Gaza.

PCIA fundraising, together with donations from churches and private individuals, has allowed us to house and pay the rent for 28 families for 4-6 months duration and 6 families for 4-6 weeks duration (as of 6 June 2024).

We are expecting at least another 32 families to arrive in the coming months.

Meet the Boutros Family

The Boutros family arrived in Australia on 10 January 2024 after leaving Gaza behind and losing their home and business. PCiA helped find accommodation for them and signed the lease on their behalf.

They moved in on 1 February 2024 and are now settled in their 3-bedroom home in western Sydney. The PCiA team of volunteers also helped source and deliver furniture to the family. The Boutros family are happily enjoying their new home and the children are now enrolled in schools close by, they are looking forward to finding work and contributing to Australia’s economy. We are confident the Boutros family will find happiness and success in the lucky country.

We welcome the Boutros family to Australia.
